Every penny goes in

Fundraising for us

Every penny raised goes directly into the resources that tackle bullying — buddy benches, planters, uniforms, the counselling we give free, and the hubs that hold it all together.

The Kindness Counts UK craft stall at Wrea Green — handmade gifts on a table under a yellow gazebo, with handmade-with-love bunting and three of the crafting team.

Unusual, this

We collect for other charities too

We’re one of the few charities that collects for other charities. Our recycling buckets gather clothes, food and goods for seven other local causes, and we make sure they get there.

Everybody’s stretched. It seemed daft not to help each other.

What to bring
Donated school uniform sorted into piles on a table outside the hub, beside the collection buckets and the posters listing what the charity is collecting.

Whatever you fancy

Fundraise for us

Sponsored things, bake sales, non-uniform days, raffles, quizzes, something ridiculous involving a costume. It all counts.

Schools

If you're one of the schools we work with, your youth champions are usually full of ideas — and a non-uniform day organised with them tends to do rather well.

For schools

Businesses

Sponsor an event, run a collection, or pick us as your charity of the year. We'll say thank you properly, and publicly.

Clubs and groups

A raffle at your competition, a collection at your meeting, a stall at your event. Small amounts add up quickly.

Not sure where to start?

Ring us or drop into the hub and we’ll talk it through. We don’t mind how small it is — a raffle at a bowling competition is as welcome as a gala.

Lately

What people have been up to

A few of the events that have kept us going this summer, and the people behind them.

  • Christy Joyce singing at the Gardeners Arms, beside her banner, with the raffle prizes laid out on a table in front of her.
    £102 raised

An evening at the Gardeners Arms

Singer Christy Joyce gave her evening free, handed the microphone to one of our own, and the room raised £102.

  • A hall full of Thornton Women's Institute members, with two of the Kindness Counts UK team standing among them.

    Thornton WI picked us

Thornton Women's Institute have chosen us as their charity, and gave us everything their raffle raised.

  • Two men from The Plant Place wheeling a planted pot along the parade from their van.

Four planters from The Plant Place

The Plant Place in Thornton donated four planters to brighten up the front of the hubs — delivered, planted and put in place.

  • A busy beer garden at The Bull in Poulton during the fundraiser.
    £1,018 raised

    An afternoon at The Bull

Mark “Bomber” put on an afternoon of karaoke, bingo and raffles at The Bull in Poulton, and raised £1,018 in a single sitting.

  • The Mayor of Wyre with the Kindness Counts UK team at the opening of the third hub.

Our third hub opened its doors

The third hub opened on Victoria Road West in Cleveleys, adding a soft play area alongside the counselling and sensory rooms.

  • The Kindness Counts UK team in yellow shirts and red capes at Fleetwood Carnival.

    Fleetwood Carnival

We joined the carnival procession through Fleetwood alongside the nurseries, children and community groups we work with.

Thank you

The people who help us

We couldn't do any of this on our own. These are some of the people and organisations who've raised money, given their time or opened their doors to us.

  • Poulton Gala

Who welcome us every year and put us in front of the whole town.

  • Elite Competitions

Who have donated to Kindness Counts UK.

  • Park Club Bowling Green

Where a crown green bowling competition raised money for us through a raffle.
