Learn with Nic

Some children fell behind with reading during covid and never quite caught up. Some are home-schooled. Some just want extra practice without it feeling like school.

What's here

Families come to our hub to work on all three. This is the same material, so you can carry on at home.

A stack of well-read children's picture books on a table.

Reading

Stories, practice and Michelle’s own books — including the one this whole charity grew out of.
A table set up for learning with lined paper, pencils and a ruler.

Spelling

Word lists and ways to make them stick — in small doses, often, rather than one long session a week.
Pencils, paper and a ruler laid out on a table.

Times tables

One table at a time. Slower at the beginning and much faster by the end.

A note for grown-ups

For parents and carers

We’re not a school and this isn’t a curriculum. It’s material to work through together, at whatever pace suits.

We don’t teach in your place. When families come to the hub, parents come too — that’s how it works there and it’s how this works at home.

Nothing here collects anything

No sign-up, no account, no progress saved, nothing tracked. Use it and close the tab.

More on the way

We're still adding to this

More of Michelle's books, more practice material, and audio so children can follow along.

If you’d like help in person, come to the hub — monday to saturday, 10am–4pm.
