About the charity
Are you a charity?
Yes. We're registered with the Charity Commission in England, number 1195961.
Are you registered with Companies House?
Yes.
Are you VAT registered?

Are your staff paid?
No. Every single person at Kindness Counts UK is an unpaid volunteer.
What are your goals?
To help schools and communities across the Fylde coast reduce bullying, antisocial behaviour, mental health problems and youth suicide. We supply anti-bullying resources aimed at supporting the wellbeing of the next generation, so they grow up more confident and more compassionate. Our community hub supports CAMHS by providing counselling and sensory room facilities.
Where are you based, and which areas do you cover?
Our hubs are at 134a–138 Victoria Road West, Thornton-Cleveleys FY5 3LG, and our registered address is 138 Victoria Road West, Thornton-Cleveleys FY5 3LG. We cover the Fylde coast.
Safeguarding and staff
Are your staff DBS checked?
Yes. Depending on the role, that's an Enhanced, Standard or Basic Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Are you recruiting?
We take volunteers only, including charity collectors. All must be DBS checked — we'll arrange it. Volunteering starts with a conversation in person at the hub.
Money
How do I make a donation?
By bank transfer, or through our JustGiving page once it's live. We have two accounts doing two different jobs, and the donate page explains which is which.
Do you provide funding?
Yes. Schools, groups and individual children can apply for grants and resources. There's no cost, and the requests usually come through a school's youth champions.
Does it cost anything to visit?
Coming in costs nothing. Some sessions and rooms have a small charge — the sensory room, soft play and meeting rooms each have their own price, listed on the hub pages.
